What about the security of my keys?
Your keys entrusted into the care of CATitude are identified by colour coding only. Your keys are never marked or identified with your name, address or your cat(s) names. When not in use your keys will at all times be stored and secured in a locked key safe in a secure location by CATitude. Keys are normally supplied at the initial consultation. By prior arrangement, your keys can be left in an agreed place in your home at the completion of the CATitude in-home service visit. Key return at the last in-home service visit is free and without charge
Does CATitude keep my keys for future cat sitting visits?
CATitude provides a secure key handling service for your keys to be securely retained by CATitude for future cat sitting visits. This is an option many clients choose for their keys. You can decide at the initial consultation and at any time what prior arrangements you would like for CATitude to manage your keys.
What if I come home early from my scheduled holiday or business trip?
There are no cancellation penalties should you return home earlier than scheduled. However, if you fail to advise CATitude of your early return and a service call is made to your house, the in-home visit service fee will apply.
What will happen if I am delayed and unable to return on the date planned?
If you are unavoidably delayed or even decide to extend your holiday, just notify CATitude as soon as possible and then book online to continue CATitude’s seamless care of your cat.
Do I get to meet the CATitude cat sitter before service? Will I always have the same cat sitter?
You need to book a free no obligation initial consultation in your own home prior to a booked CATitude in-home cat care service visit taking place.
The initial consultation is an opportunity for the CATitude carer to meet you and your cat, to thoroughly discuss you and your cat’s needs and requirements, clarify CATitude’s terms and conditions, and complete a veterinary release and key management form.
CATitude knows that all cats have individual requirements and it is CATitude’s policy to discuss these thoroughly with you at the initial consultation so that you receive the best service that CATitude can offer. You will typically have the same CATitude carer for in-home service visits; at busy times however, eg Christmas and Easter, CATitude often expands its team of experienced carers.
What if my cat becomes ill while I’m away?
At the initial CATitude consultation you complete a veterinary release form nominating your vet or veterinary clinic for emergency care of your cat, the total diagnosis and vet treatment limit and your emergency contact details. Choice of After Hours Emergency Veterinary Clinic is at CATitude’s discretion.
Why is there an initial consultation?
CATitude offers a free initial consultation (1 hour duration) in your own home to discuss your requirements for the care of your cat in your home whether you intend to be away from home for short or long stays.
The CATitude carer gets to met you and your cat, discuss you and your cat’s needs and requirements, and once the required paperwork is completed, you are ready to book a scheduled in-home service visit.
For all future in-home visits CATitude offers the time-saving convenience of online booking of in-home service visits using direct deposit or credit card.
When do I pay?
Full payment for all bookings is required at the time of booking. Bookings/reservations are not confirmed until either payment has been made in full or until valid Visa or MasterCard details have been supplied at the time of booking.
How do I make a payment?
You can choose to pay by cash, direct deposit or credit card.
What if I need to cancel my booked CATitude in-home visit(s) – what is CATitude’s cancellation / refund policy?
See CATitude’s terms and conditions. Should you need to cancel your booked CATitude in-home service visit, please notify CATitude as soon as possible before the scheduled in-home service visit. Where cancellations are notified to CATitude with less than 12 hours notice, CATitude has the discretion to charge up to 10% of the entire service period total to cover CATitude’s administration costs. (‘Notice’ period is deemed to be up to noon the day prior to the day of in-home service).
Will you give my cat any required daily medications?
Yes. Your instructions on how the medication is to be given to your cat will be obtained during the free initial consultation. There is no extra charge for this service. If injections need be administered at precise times of the day, more than one daily in-home visit may be required for the care of your cat. CATitude will tailor a package to meet your requirements should you require more intensive care for your cat.
I have a cat and a dog. Can I use your service?
CATitude is cat sitting service exclusively for cats only. CATitude is happy to refer you to a trusted pet sitting service for cats and dogs. Please contact CATitude for a referral.
